Description
A very rare 1942 British Military Issued Ebel wristwatch. A 3 piece case with marked 'Acier Staybrite' to the case back inner. A silvered dial with black Arabic numerals and an outer minute track. Blued steel hands and a sweep seconds. A large winding crown, designed for tactility whilst wearing flight gloves. This watch bears British Military markings to the case back for 6B/159, meaning it was designated for pilots and navigators as a watch for flight crew. At a later date, the watch has been reassigned with the reference 6B/234, which indicates availability for RAF crew as well as ground crew. The Ebel models of the 6B/159 are one of the rarest of all British Military watches used during World War 2.
