A rare 1942 Longines wristwatch with archive paperwork. A silvered dial with Arabic numerals and a minute track with 5 minute markers. The aged patinanated dial signed 'Longines' with blued steel hands with sweep seconds. A stainless steel case with the original snap on back. Case reference 21308
The watch is powered by a manual wind Longines caliber 12.68N with micrometric regulation. The inner base back markings EF & Co (Ernest Francillon & Co) with the winged hourglass and marked Longines. The 6m serial number dates the watch to 1941.
The Longines extract from the archive papers state that the watch was invoiced on 27 June, 1942 to the company 'The Jewellers Supply Co' who were Longines agents in Egypt.
