Description
Here we have a lovely US Lincoln Memorial One Cent set from 1960. It comes in a lovely green gift bag so it would be a great present.
It features two one cent coins which have the small date imprinted, and two coins which feature the large date. The coins are uncirculated.
The US Mint started producing the small date coins in 1960 but quickly became concerned in case the small date letter would chip or become clogged, so they increased the size of the letters. They thought no one would notice but soon it was spotted and the coins became collectible.
These four coins are set in a black coin holder and a Perspex case. It would be a great gift for someone, perhaps as a birthday present for someone born in 1960.

condition
These are a few small marks to one of the large date coins. The Perspex case has some scratches, a crack and one of the hinges is broken. However it stays firmly shut and protects the coins. The display holder in the main photo holding the case upright is not included.
