A beautifully classic 1970s single strand cultured pearl necklace, finished with an attractive pearl-set 9ct yellow gold clasp. The necklace is composed of beautifully matched cultured pearls measuring approximately 6mm, displaying a creamy ivory colour with delicate soft pink overtones and an excellent lustre. Their wonderfully even size gives the necklace a refined, traditional appearance, while the shorter 15.25 inch / 39cm length allows the pearls to sit elegantly around the neckline. A particularly attractive feature is the navette-shaped pearl cluster clasp, set with a central cultured pearl surrounded by smaller pearls. Crafted in 9ct yellow gold, the reverse is fully hallmarked Birmingham 1979. The necklace has recently been professionally restrung in August 2026, with each pearl individually hand knotted for both security and a beautifully finished appearance.
