1970's Smiths Astral 9ct Gold Cased Wrist Watch

This Smiths Astral wristwatch, Hallmarked 1971 & gifted for a long service in 1972 for many years service in Yorkshire Insurance. It features a solid yellow 9ct gold case with a perspex dome to cover the champagne coloured watch face. It's powered by a 17 jewel manual-wind Swiss movement. Finished with a brown leather strap & steel buckle. It has been kept safe in it's original presentation box. The watch reflects the design aesthetics of its era and is suitable for collectors of vintage timepieces. Overall in good condition, signs of wear & tear. The rear has been engraved. A few scuff marks on the case etc. The strap & buckle is old, it could benefit from being replaced. Marks on the dial face, although it doesn't effect function. Appears to be working, ticks & keeps good time. However, functionality is not guaranteed, would always recommend buyer gets a service when buying second-hand watches.
