1972 Omega Flightmaster Wristwatch
A 1972 Omega Flightmaster wristwatch. A stainless steel case with Omega bracelet. Colour coded buttons to eiher side of the case, operating the multiple functions this watch has. Functions include an inner rotating bezel from 0-60, a unidirectional blue time zone hand, chronograph counter for minutes and for hours and a subsidiary seconds dial. Case reference 145.036, featuring the jumbo jet to the caseback. An Omega caliber 911 manual wind mechanism. Serial numbers date this watch to 1972. The Omega Flightmaster was aimed at pilots when it was marketed, hence the jumbo jet to the case back and the multiple functions. Although the watch has 7 hands, 3 crowns and 2 pushers, it was designed to be particularly easy to read and function with the ingenious use of colour coded buttons and contrasting colours.
