1974 Seiko 'Captain Willard' Military Watch

1974 Seiko divers watch 'Captain Willard'. A robust stainless steel case with a screw down case back. It has a flush set crown at the 4 o'clock position. Case ref 6105-8110. A rotating bezel with 10 minute Arabic markers. A black dial with rectangular lume filled hour markers and a sweep seconds hand. A date aperture at the 3 o'clock position and marked 'Seiko automatic water 150m resist'. These are referred to as 'Captain Willard' as it was worn by Charlie Sheen in the film Apocalypse Now. They were available to buy by US soldiers who fought in the Vietnam war. The watch is powered by a Seiko 6105 automatic mechanism with a hack device. The serial numbers date the watch to 1974.
