A lovely quality 19th century cased set of amputation equipment, this includes implements by both Swedish and London makers. It is a scarce item to find on the market and will appeal to the collector of scientific instruments - Two largest blades are marked S. Maw of London and have fine chip worked wood handles. - Two smaller knives are marked for A. V. L. Ward. - Bones shears are marked for Stockholm. - Heavy mahogany case with red velvet lining. - Ebonised handles to the saw and smaller knives. - Brass screw tourniquet. - Suture needles in small compartment. - Brass bindings to the box.
