19th Century Burr Walnut Antique Canterbury

A rare and unusual 19th Century burr walnut Canterbury, the inlaid top with a brass gallery lifts up to reveal a reading stand, the are four partitions for magazines and papers, above the partitions there is a shelf which is also decorated with a brass gallery, the top and middle shelf supported by finely carved turned columns, the base has a single mahogany lined drawer at the centre with original wooden turned knob handles, standing on turned feet with brass castors.
