19th Century c.1860 French Boulle Writing Table

This is a magnificent French boulle writing table in ebony, brass and red tortoiseshell. The table has a serpentine shaped front, sides and back. The top is in brass and ebony with a re leathered writing surface. It features a front drawer which is oak lined to the inside.The table has cabriole legs and its original mounts. The writing table would have been used for the centre of a room as it has been inlaid all the way around. The table was more than likely made in Paris.
