Description

Chinese export card case in filigree work with added raised filigree decoration. One raised panel has two fish and a bat within a meandering border. The raised part on the reverse has prunus blossom within a wavy border. Makers mark for KSC and a chopmark which is Khecheong c. 1850. Khe Cheong or Khecheong traded from Old China Street, Honan Island, Canton from 1820-1890. One of the specialisms of this firm was high-quality filigree card cases.
