Decorated in the Vernis Martin style with Watteauesque-style scene of a young courtship couple beneath an ivory colour dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, the sides decorated with floral bouquets, gilt ground and cast leaf scroll mounts, finial and scroll feet; eight-day spring driven half-hour bell striking movement with outside count wheel.
