Description
A striking late 19th-century Italian majolica (faience) decorative teapot or pitcher by the renowned Ulisse Cantagalli factory, Florence, Italy (c. 1880–1910). Crafted in the Renaissance Revival style, this piece features a spherical body hand-painted with polychrome floral sprigs and scrolling foliate vines against a creamy tin-glazed ground. It is further accented with a molded yellow twisted-rope collar encircling the neck, a stylized animal-head spout, and a tall, square-form strap handle painted with a green scale motif. The base bears the authentic, hand-painted blue Cantagalli rooster (gallo) mark. Condition. Some small chips to to rim of pot please look at pictures.
