Williams Antiques & Restoration have been restoring antique furniture since 1990. We carry out a wide range of restoration work from cabinet work and re-polishing to gilding and lock repairs. Our showroom has a wide range of antique furniture and smaller items. These range from dining tables and desks, to silver letter knives and tea sets. The vast majority of the furniture in the showroom has been restored in house. We also have a cabinet at the Antiques Association in Woburn. We are based in the village of Colmworth in Bedfordshire within easy reach of St Neots, Cambridge and Bedford, we also have a showroom next to our workshop for you to visit.

Description
19th century oak bureau bookcase with later carvings to the fronts. Below the moulded and carved cornice are a pair of astragal glazed doors, fitted with a working lock and key. Opening reveals three adjustable bookshelves. The fall with working lock and key opens to reveal a fitted interior with mahogany fronted drawers, fitted with brass knob handles, pigeon holes and a central door. Beneath are a flight of graduated pine lined drawers with brass escutcheons. Each drawer having a working lock and key with the key being used as the handle for opening the drawer. It is raised on bracket feet.
