19th Century Oak Wall Clock with Single Fusee Timepiece

This is a beautiful 19th Century antique wall clock signed Coleman, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Love the nice patination on the oak which just lifts to overall look of this wall clock. When you add the charming wear, flaking and paint crackling to the clock face, to me, this is what I love and creates the wonderful time worn character. The domed glass is in perfect condition and mounted to a brass spun bezel, with a single hinge on the right hand side. Spade hands, and key hole to wind from the front. Plus, the original brass butterfly shaped winding key. The cover box behind is held on with tapered pegs and locked into place with a sprung clip. Exploring the back you have an eight day duration, single-fusee timepiece movement with an anchor escapement. All very clean and in full working order, keeps perfect time.
