Description
A 19th century painted lambing chair This chair has had multiple coats of paint in its lifetime we have dry scraped back through theese to give the characterful look that it now has The construction timber is pine The back boards are wide tounge and groove and the chair has been made of wide boards though out for this reason we have described it as 19th century as later items tend to be made using narrower boards Usually lambing chairs have a drawer this one just has a storage space perhaps this one originally had a wicker basket which served as a draw who knows but would be a great place to keep boots etc any way
