19th Century Parquetry Inland Mahogany Wine Table

Intriguingly nice design to say the least. I would imagine you couldn't buy this off the shelf back in the mid to late 1800's. It is far too specialised to even consider this. However, I could imagine someone with reasonable wealth to approach a talented furniture maker and have this charming 19th century parquetry inland wine table commissioned. Finely constructed from mahogany wood, features an intricate parquetry design and wonderful classic styling. The stand out feature for me is the three branch tray tops beneath the parquetry top, ideal for placing your favourite wine bottle or glass. It seems to work both ways depending on if you were in a low chair. Material: Mahogany, Satinwood & Ebonised Veneer Period: 1860-1890, 19th Century
