A handsome 19th Century walnut bureau offering classic proportions and excellent storage. The rich walnut displays a warm tone and attractive grain, giving the piece a timeless appeal suited to both traditional and modern interiors. The fall-front opens to reveal a well-fitted interior, including a sliding compartment, two small drawers, a central cupboard, pigeon holes and a green felt writing surface. The bureau is fitted with a working key and the fall locks securely. Below are four drawers to the base, each furnished with brass handles, providing generous additional storage. The top and sides are in good condition. The fall-front shows signs of an old split but remains solid and functional.
