Description
This is a stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian 6.24 ct diamond and 10 carat yellow gold, silver set brooch/pendant; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry.
This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian diamond brooch has been crafted in 10 ct yellow gold with a silver setting.
The pierced decorated setting displays a central feature 0.80 ct claw set Old European cut diamond, encircled by ten claw set Old European cut diamonds, forming a central cluster design.
This cluster is framed by six further feature Old European cut diamonds, ranging from 0.42ct to 0.57ct, each encompassed with conjoined clusters of nine Old European cut diamonds; these six cluster designs replicate the ratio and style of the central arrangement.
The scalloped outer circumference of the brooch is embellished with a single individually claw set diamond to each incurve, completing the symmetrical design.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a 10 ct yellow gold hinged pin and clasp; this versatile antique brooch can also be worn as a pendant via a hinged loop to the reverse surface - if required a bale could be attached to facilitate the piece to sit flush in situ.
This antique diamond brooch is fitted to the original hinged velvet presentation case with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
This anterior surface of the cover bears the contemporary lettering 'Anna, July 15th 1896' and is accompanied by a historical hand written note.
The interior of the cover of the box features the gilt renowned maker and retailer's mark 'Carrington & Co, To H.M. The Queen and The Price & Princess of Wales, 130 Regent St, W' below a royal coronet.
This antique Victorian diamond cluster brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 10 carat gold and silver.
This stunning brooch is supplied with seven independent diamond grading report certificates for the feature diamonds, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.
