Description
A boxed 9ct. Gold RAF brooch. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1918, in original box. The jeweller W H Harris, 21 & 23, King Street, Thetford. On the bottom of the box a dedication from a son to his mother. This reads, “ Best love to Mother. Her loving so, Russell. “ dated 20.9.18. Written in ink.
An important piece of RAF history. This was given just a few months after the RAF was formed.
