This early 20th century French leather banquette is simply gorgeous. It has four adjustable positions for you to enjoy. The function is easy and elegant, like most simple designs. The all-original Havana leather is wonderful with no rips or previous repairs. All the spring-work to the base has been restored and a fresh ticking slip added. The base itself has sprung edges, which is always a sign of quality. The original velvet cushions did not last the test of time and so replaced with a quality cotton velvet, best described as bottle green. The inner was ticking and wool, again, beautiful quality. So, this daybed is not only beautiful but has the comfort and sophistication to match. A very lovely and rare thing indeed.
