The chair is not just stylish but remarkably comfortable. Alas the original seat cushion didn’t last the test of time, so it has been replaced with a superior quality heritage green, cotton velvet one, similar to the original. The particular design to the back of the chair is not just for aesthetics, it enables it to be placed in the corner of a room without losing too much floor space, a requirement which was essential for small Parisian and other French city apartments.
