Aesthetic Movement Small Bifold Screen with Pokerwork Panels

A quality piece of Victorian aesthetic movement furniture, this small bifold screen in ebonised wood has three double-sided pokerwork panels. It is heavy, stable and ideal for concealing anything best hidden or messy, such as electrical wires, an empty fireplace, or a computer screen. It can be placed at floor level, but also on a desk or on top of a cupboard. Please note that the other items shown in one of the photographs are to provide scale only and are not included. - Double sided, with pokerwork panels on both sides. - Panels on one side show young women in various poses, on a swing, seated, with a child. - The other side shows landscape scenes, with small human figures amongst trees. - Heavy, high quality reversible brass hinges. - Ebonised finials at the top and spindled rails at the bottom. - Aesthetic period incised gilt decoration in the ebonised wood.
