Description
Such a fabulous Victorian flow blue and white cream jug. This collectable Alton patern flow blue creamer would make a great addition to any collection. It was made by W.H. Grindley in the heart of the Staffordshire Potteries, England in the late 1800s. The jug has no cracks or crazing. It measures 3 1/2in (8.9cm) tall. Flow blue ware is similar to traditional blue and white pottery, except that the blue colour was deliberately blurred, an effect achieved by adding a cup of lime or ammonia to the kiln during glazing.
