An Antique Solid Silver Beaker by Samuel Schneeweib, Augsburg c.1670

The beaker is of a plain tapering cylindrical form with a raised rim and two turned rings. It is good used, not abused, condition. Just a few minor usage dings. It is fully hallmarked on the base. Pictured. There is the assay scrape, the Augsburg pineapple mark, the centre point. And the maker’s mark for Samuel Schneeweib who worked c.1670 and died in 1697. There are also a double-struck mark for importation into Austria in c.1806 There is a later monogram, a Gothic C. Dimensions: 8.6 cm tall x 7.4 cm top diameter. Weight: 126 gms
