Description
A beautiful ceramic cream jug dating from the first third of the 19th Century. The body is of rectangular form, with a plinth foot. The decoration is half fluted to the lower half, with convolvulus, leaves and acorns to the upper half. The black Basalt exterior is matt and the interior is mirror glazed. A gorgeous Collector's piece, with a practical use. Maker possibly Mexborough.
