South West Persia, beautiful colourful tribal rug from this weaving group of the Khamseh confederation. The general design is published in books dealing with South Persian tribal weavings. Overall it is floral in nature but with heavy abstract and geometric interpretations. Even fringes and side cords. there are a few professional old small hard to find reweaves as you would expect from a piece of this age. But overall combining age, rarity of design,colour and fineness of weave makes for a very special weaving which would look equally as good on the floor or wall hung as a feature. Price £10,950 GBP.
