Description
A stunning, fine and impressive antique 1.10 carat diamond, 6.50 carat peridot, 14 karat yellow gold and platinum set brooch; part of our collection of rare brooches. This stunning, impressive and rare antique brooch has been crafted in 14k yellow gold with a platinum setting. The asymmetrical, floriated design is ornamented with five feature pear faceted cut peridots, claw set in a floral head formation. The flower head design is embellished to the centre with a yellow gold collet set Old European cut fancy light brown diamond. The scrolling stem of the floral design is embellished with twenty pavé set Old European cut diamonds, graduating in size dependent on location. The stem supports to extended bud designs, each ornamented with a claw set pear faceted cut fancy light brown diamond, completing the design. The antique brooch secures the reverse with a hinged pin and hallmarked clasp fastening. This floral pin has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14 karat gold and platinum. This impressive peridot brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card. Such antique examples set with large cluster of peridots and fancy color diamonds are rare to the market and an indication of high quality of the piece. This impressive antique brooch is exceptional quality, set with stunning peridots displaying fine color, brilliance and presence. The fancy diamonds display fine color and brilliance. The high color graded supporting diamonds display a fine white color and brilliance; although the diamonds are clarity graded at P1, they shows no unsightly black inclusions. This antique floral brooch is an exceptional gauge of gold and platinum, and is in exceptional condition, with a clear hallmark to the clasp. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique peridot brooch.
