An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian 1.25 carat diamond, 9 karat yellow gold and silver set mandolin brooch; part of our diverse antique Victorian jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This exceptional and rare antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 9k yellow gold with a silver setting. This antique diamond brooch is modelled in the form of a mandolin. The body of the mandolin is embellished with thirty-six pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The stringed musical instrument is further ornamented with a yellow gold headstock, neck/fret band and strings. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening with the additional security of a fine link safety chain. This antique 1890s brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card. The brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9k gold and silver. This exceptional brooch is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
