Description
This is a beautiful antique sterling silver tea caddy spoon from the early 1800s. It would be perfect for using to spoon coffee or tea.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
It was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1836. It was made by Francis Clark, a silversmith based in Newhall St, Birmingham, who was active from 1827 to 1847.
The spoon is made of Sterling Silver and has a shovel design bowl with a pretty fan pattern handle. The maker’s mark and hallmarks are in the bowl. The bowl is designed as more of a scoop and would work very well to spoon coffee or tea.
The silver is shiny. It has been repaired where the handle joins the bowl and this has been taken into account when pricing.
It weighs 8.5g and measures approximately 9.3cm in length (3 5/8 inches).
