In good antique condition throughout with signs of age and use. There is surface wear including marks, scratches, knocks, and historic wear throughout the piece consistent with age. The hinges and lid operate as intended and the coffer remains solid and sound. The back legs are slightly shorter than the front through wear, giving it a gentle backwards slope. There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this has long gone and been treated as a precaution. Overall, the piece presents well with a good colour and patina.
