Description
Here we have a stunning antique sterling silver mini powder compact dance purse or case. It would make a fantastic unique gift and comes in a lovely presentation bag
It was made by James Clark & John Sewell and is Hallmarked for Chester 1917.
The case has a shiny sterling silver exterior and a chain handle. The hinge and clasp work well.
Inside is a beautiful gilded interior and the Hallmarks. On one side it has an elastic strap which wouldve been used to keep contents in place.
The other side has a lovely round mirror and a compartment for loose powder. It also has a pretty little powder puff.

Beeches Vintage has clarified that the Antique 1917 Sterling Silver Mirror Compact Case (LA472149) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1917
condition
It's in good condition. The silver is shiny with a little tarnish in the chain. The mirror has a few age marks but still provides a good reflection. There is a little powder residue in the puff and elastic strap.
