Antique late 19th century fine quality display cabinet in mahogany, a very well made and elegant example of the finest craftsmanship. The cabinet features two drawers to the upper section, offering useful storage while maintaining a refined and balanced appearance. Beneath, a beautifully glazed front opens to reveal three adjustable shelves, ideal for displaying decorative pieces, books, or collectibles. The piece is beautifully cross-banded and inlaid with delicate satinwood stringing, highlighting the quality of the workmanship and adding a subtle decorative contrast to the rich mahogany. A raised gallery to the top further enhances the cabinet’s character and practicality. Raised on splay feet, the cabinet has a graceful stance, while the timber displays stunning grain and warm colour throughout. It is possibly made by the renowned makers Maple & Co, though no maker’s plaque has been found, adding an element of intrigue to its provenance.
