Stunning, fine and impressive antique 23.50 carat garnet, 0.28 carat diamond and 18 carat yellow gold brooch; part of our diverse Victorian jewellery and estate jewellery collections. This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold. The brooch bears two circular-shaped settings in a vertical formation, graduating in size; the smaller articulating design to the lower portion detaches to provided a versatile aesthetic. Each finely hand-crafted setting is embellished with an array of square faceted cut garnets, secured in a circular formation with a unique claw setting design. The settings to the interior of the design are ornamented with impressive Dutch cut diamonds. Each circular-shaped gemstone setting is encircled with a classic interlacing rope twist style border, with one strand bearing a textured finish. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp. This impressive garnet brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold. This impressive brooch is supplied with an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card. Such antique examples in this very high quality are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
