A stunning, fine and impressive antique Edwardian 2.80 carat ruby, 0.50 carat diamond and 9 karat rose gold crescent shaped brooch; part of our diverse jewellery collection.
This stunning, fine and impressive antique crescent brooch has been crafted in 9k rose gold.
The pierced decorated crescent shaped frame is embellished with nine pavé set graduated cushion cut rubies.
The feature gemstones alternate with eighteen pavé set Old European round cut diamonds.
The impressive ruby crescent brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin, and benefits from the added security of a hinged safety catch; the incorporated safety clip to the reverse of the pin indicates the high quality of the piece.
This antique ruby brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 karat gold.
This impressive brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card, in addition to a ruby report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London*.
Such crescent brooches embellished with untreated rubies are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
An Edwardian ruby crescent brooch combines romantic symbolism with historical elegance. Ideal for collectors of Edwardian jewellery and those drawn to the celestial crescent motif, it makes a refined and meaningful addition to any collection.
NOTE: * This documentation accredits the rubies originating in Thailand/Cambodia and certifies that the gemstone shows no indications of heating.
Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone in this ruby crescent brooch.
