A charming pair of Edwardian amethyst drop earrings, beautifully crafted in 9ct yellow gold with an elegant openwork design. Each earring is formed as an elongated oval, delicately worked with a double openwork frame and attractive teardrop-shaped motifs. At the centre sits a pretty circular arrangement of tiny flowerhead details, giving the earrings a wonderfully feminine and intricate appearance. Two round faceted amethysts are set to each earring — one positioned at the centre of the floral design and a second suspended freely beneath. The four amethysts display an attractive soft lilac-purple colour and catch the light beautifully as the earrings move. The delicate open construction gives these earrings an impressive appearance while remaining light and comfortable to wear.
