Stunning, fine and impressive antique 1920s Art Deco 0.70 carat sapphire, 2.92 carat diamond and platinum watch; part of our diverse collection of Art Deco jewellery. This stunning, fine and impressive antique watch/bracelet has been crafted in platinum. The rectangular-shaped watch dial displays Arabic hour markers encompassed with a paralleling minute marked chapter ring. The wristwatch retains the original blue steeled hands and is fitted with a ribbed crown/winder ornamented with a circular collet set 0.25ct cabochon cut sapphire. The anterior face of the platinum watch case is embellished with thirty-two impressive pavé set diamonds, in a combination of Old European and eight cuts, all in an Art Deco design. The graduating lugs and articulated pierced decorated links of the strap bear further pavé set diamonds, framed with arched arrangements of channel set mixed cut sapphires totalling 0.45ct. This stunning watch/bracelet secures with a push fit clasp to the reverse via a platinum fully articulated, expandable spring-loaded strap composed of elongated links; benefitting from the additional security of a hinged safety catch. This Art Deco sapphire and diamond watch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum.
