Antique Art Deco Pearl Necklace 9ct Gold Diamond Clasp c.1920s

Rare single strand Art Deco pearl necklace dating from the 1920s with a stunning diamond clasp. The string of old pearls are superb quality; ivory white, with a smooth unblemished surface and good lustre. The necklace consists of hand knotted pearls with tight stringing. The 9ct white gold clasp is set with a central diamond surrounded by three old cut earth mined diamonds either side, in a classic Art Deco design with scrolled details to sides and base of U shaped push in safety clasp. The necklace is 16 inches long, consisting of 53 round uniform pearls with gauge 6.84 mm diameter. Weight 25.6 grams overall.
