This exceptional antique cast Austro-Hungarian silver table ornament has been realistically modelled in the form of a figure riding a donkey.
This antique silver donkey table ornament is embellished with fine details reproducing the hoofed mammal's hair and anatomical features.
The donkey is ridden by a male figure playing a violin.
This exceptional example of continental silverware is further ornamented with individually collet set gems, accenting the musician's attire in addition to the donkey's bridle and saddle.
This table ornament is supported by a shaped gem set base, accented with further cast decoration replicating grassy terrain.
