Antique Bavarian C19th Lidded Lithopane Stein Wurzburg 1897-99

You are viewing an attractive, original late 19th century German military stein. It belonged to a cavalry man called Adam Ganz who was stationed in Wurzburg from 1897-99. The stein is adorned with writing and paintings of soldiers in various settings. The stein has a lithopane on the inside of the body which depicts a Bavarian couple dancing. The stein is about 24 centimeters tall and weighs about 912 grams. The condition is overall good with no chips or cracks. A figure appears to have broken off from the finial of the pewter lid.
