Description
This is an antique bedside cabinet. A French, Kingwood and marble nightstand cupboard, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Appealing bedroom piece, with a delightful form and finish that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Quality kingwood presents fine grain interest and rich caramel hues. Superb onyx marble plinth, with eye-catching vein detail.
Pleasingly arranged with a small drawer over a central cabinet. The cabinet door with book-matched panel and superb boxwood inlay. Usefully flanked by two pairs of magazine or periodical slides. Ormolu mounts to the corners add a metallic flourish. Standing upon a quartet of tapering legs with brass capped toes.
This is a fine antique bedside cabinet, with a wonderful finish and useful storage space. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
