A fantastic antique early 20th century bronze miniature of Boxing toads by Franz Bergman.
This incredible piece features anthropomorphic toads in a bronze Boxing ring complete with ropes and towels.
The two toads both centre ring boxing, one getting the better of the other.
A highly detailed piece cold painted in realistic colours with different views of the action from every angle you look at.
Made in Austria, Franz Xavier Bergman, marked to the base with the B and urn mark and Austria.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some paint loss and chipping, age commensurate signs of use and wear, two ring posts are at an angle and the ropes bent but this appears to be purposely made in this fashion.
