A Fine Burr Walnut Cocktail Cabinet on Cabriole Legs
Item Code: LC1396
Description
A highly attractive early 20th century burr walnut cocktail cabinet, English, dating to circa 1925–1935. The cabinet is beautifully veneered in richly figured burr walnut, arranged in a striking book-matched pattern across the doors and sides, and framed by fine moulded edges.
The cabinet stands on elegant cabriole legs, each finely carved with scrolling foliage and shell motifs, united by a shaped and carved apron of particularly good quality. The doors open to reveal a well-fitted interior, incorporating a mirrored back, bottle divisions, and a small drawer, all finished in contrasting light wood, typical of high-quality cocktail cabinets of the period.
Original brass fittings and decorative corner mounts enhance the exterior, while the overall proportions make this piece both practical and visually impressive. The cabinet is well presented with excellent colour and polish, and would serve equally well in a traditional or contemporary interior.
A refined and decorative cocktail cabinet, combining craftsmanship, function, and strong visual appeal.
