Antique Camphor Wood Military Campaign Chest of Drawers

Antique Colonial Camphor wood chest of drawers in excellent original condition, with a carved back gallery & side pieces. It’s solid camphor wood with a wonderful colour & figuring to the wood. The proportions are quite small & all the drawers are deep. The drawers also have the original locks & wooden escutcheons. They have the original sunken brass military handles & this chest sits on original bun feet. I particularly like the floral carvings on the back gallery. This military chest of drawers was probably made in the 1860’s period & it’s full of character. The colour of the wood is similar to satinwood.
