Description
This is an antique carved dome. An English, cedar woodcarving of pigs, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Wonderful farming or rural appeal, with skilfully carved subjects. It displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Carved cedar presents warm caramel hues throughout. Mother pig to centre surrounded by her piglets, with excellent relief forms. Engraved to the hollow reverse with the mark Rtc, Kilburn.
This is a fascinating antique carved dome with superb decorative appeal. Distinctive and charming, with great colour. Delivered polished and ready to display.
