Antique Carved Oak Box Settle. Charles II style carved oak panel back box seat settle, 19th century. Profusely carved on a stipple ground with foliate motifs, mythical creatures and birds together with quatrefoil and lozenge motifs and flower head roundels, the shaped cresting rails above five panels and a boarded seat with dual hinged sections flanked by shaped arms with carved creatures, the bass with six panels to the front and single panel sides, on a plinth base
