Description
This is an antique chemist's counter mortar and pestle. An English, bronze apothecary aid, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1795.
Quality Georgian apothecary aid with superb finish and weight that displays a desirable aged patina with light signs of use. Appealing antique bronze presents deep golden hues throughout. Tactile pestle, the handle end narrower than the grinding pad. Handle engraved with the initials PMS and the year 1794.
This is a charming antique chemist's mortar and pestle with a delightful flared form and polished bronze finish. As useful today as it was over 200 years ago, or as fine decorative interest upon the work top. Delivered ready to enjoy.
