Stunning Hand Painted English Porcelain Coalport Twin Handle Lidded single Vase of Museum quality, hand decorated by the supremely talented Artist Frederick Chivers. Circa 1910-20. The central oval reserve depicts still life of fruits, apple, peach and black grapes resting on a mossy ground, signed lower left, within a very decorative raised gilt surround, all on a coblat blue ground. Highly ornate gilt handles with dog finials, raised on four claw supports. dark blue painted crown mark as shown on both vase and cover. Location: Dublin City, Ireland.
