Description
This 19th Century Victorian antique carved oak settle is very interesting as the 2 carved panels depict the now banned country sports of Cock fighting and bull baiting. The back with the lunette shaped top rail and the carved head surmounts, above the inset panels with the carved scenes and 2 carved foliate panels below. The lift-up lid on the seat opens to reveal a full open storage area. Imagine how much you can hide in here! The arms at each end have a carved mythical beast’s head. Around the base are carved oak panels. It stands on a plinth.
Imagine this interesting conversation piece in your home, not only is it practical it is also a fine piece.
On occasions customers have been disappointed to miss an item as they e-mailed their enquiry instead of phoning, I would recommend that if you wish to get the piece, please call rather than e-mail. We are very friendly and easy to deal with.
