This is an antique companion set of three fireside tools. An English, steel and brass pair of tongs, poker and coal shovel, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.
Excellent craftsmanship with a striking appearance - ideal for the grand fireplace displaying a desirable aged patina throughout, gently weathered commensurate with age. Superb brass handles presents warm golden tones and a distinctive barley twist form. Quality polished nickel steel bedazzles with a bright tonal appearance. Set comprises of a pair of tongs, a hearth shovel and robust poker. Pierced fretwork detail tastefully accentuating the shovel pan.
